Process Engineer

 

Pembrook Resourcing currently are looking for an Process Engineer to work with one of prestigious brands and join their team.

 

The company is in the New Energies sector and has the patented technology for a product that enhances the performance of internal combustion engines, along with cleaning of the same. The process is that of hydrogen and oxygen production by wet cell hydrolysis which is introduced into the engine cylinders such that more of the fuel is combusted with a resultant fuel consumption improvement and consequential greenhouse gas emission reduction. The company has progressed to having a product that is in its testing phase, and has VC funding in place, but further R&D is required to ensure consistent results.

A consultant is required to take the product to the next level, who ideally has worked with hydrogen and computable engines. The ideal candidate must have a solid working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to deliver innovative solutions and improvements to the project.  The candidate has been involved or ideally led a project where the execution of the product was successful and fit for purpose.

Specific requirements:

*In depth knowledge of combustible engines

*Understand, or have a in depth knowledge of Hydrogen production, & how its applied to a combustible engine

*Strong technical experience working in processes engineering
*Strong planning and organisational skills
*Undertake detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations
*Good experience of process simulation preparation of standard process documents such as BFDs/PFDs/UFDs and datasheets
*Potentially will need to prepare Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions and P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagram) for review and approval
*Show interest in keeping abreast of relevant new legislation
*As it may be necessary to undertake short term visits to a recognised testing centre once the unit is fully operational, ideally someone based in the UK.
