We’re recruiting for an established automotive dealership in Alperton that is looking to strengthen its workshop team with an experienced Senior Diagnostic Technician.
THE OPPORTUNITYYou’ll receive a basic salary of up to £44,000, with earning potential of approximately £60,000 OTE.
This is a senior technical position within a busy dealership environment, suited to someone who can bring strong diagnostic ability, sound technical judgement and a professional approach to every vehicle they work on.
The business is also committed to keeping its technicians' skills up to date as vehicle technology continues to develop, including ongoing training around electric vehicles and newer vehicle systems.
The package includes:
- Up to £44,000 basic salary
- Approx. £60,000 OTE

THE ROLE
- Diagnose and repair vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard
- Use current diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify faults
- Provide technical advice and support where required
- Work to manufacturer and dealership standards and procedures
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining a right-first-time approach
- Maintain clear and accurate records of work carried out
- Work closely with the wider workshop and aftersales team to keep vehicles moving
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORYou’ll need:
- Strong previous experience as an Automotive Technician
- Proven diagnostic experience and the ability to identify and resolve complex faults
- An NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
- The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy workshop
- A full UK driving licence
- A professional approach to quality, safety and customer service
It would be great if you also have:
- Main dealership experience
- An MOT Testing qualification
- Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles
- Manufacturer technical training
- Experience working with a wide range of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment
