We're working with an established and successful automotive retailer in Bath who are looking for an experienced Aftersales Manager to take ownership of a busy and commercially important aftersales operation.

This is an opportunity for an experienced automotive leader who is ready to make a significant impact across Service, Workshop and the wider Aftersales function, while developing a high-performing team and driving the department forward.

With a £55,000 - £60,000 basic salary and £80,000 OTE, this is a senior opportunity for someone who knows how to turn great aftersales operations into great commercial results.

The Opportunity

As Aftersales Manager, you'll take responsibility for the overall performance of the aftersales operation, balancing commercial performance with the customer experience and the development of your team.

You'll work closely with senior dealership management, leading from the front and creating an environment where people understand what's expected of them, have the support to succeed and are motivated to deliver.

This is a role where your decisions will have a genuine impact.

From workshop efficiency and labour sales to customer retention, team development and departmental profitability, you'll have the opportunity to influence every part of the aftersales operation.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of:

The overall performance and commercial success of the aftersales department.
Leading and developing the Service, Workshop and wider aftersales teams.
Setting clear expectations and driving performance against departmental KPIs.
Maximising workshop productivity, efficiency, utilisation and profitability.
Monitoring labour sales, departmental performance and key commercial indicators.
Creating a high-performing culture where accountability and teamwork go hand in hand.
Coaching and developing team members to improve capability and create future career opportunities.
Ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience throughout their aftersales journey.
Managing and resolving escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, retention, efficiency and profitability.
Ensuring manufacturer, company, FCA and Health & Safety requirements are consistently met.
Working closely with senior management to understand local market conditions and respond to changing customer and commercial demands.
Taking ownership of recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development within the department.
Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced automotive aftersales leader who understands that successful departments are built around people, process and performance.

Ideally, you'll have previous experience as an:

Aftersales Manager
Service Manager
Senior Aftersales Manager
Experienced Service Manager ready to take the next step
You'll ideally bring:

Proven experience managing an automotive Service or Aftersales department.
Strong experience within a franchised dealership environment.
A clear understanding of workshop operations and aftersales performance.
Strong commercial awareness and experience managing departmental KPIs.
A proven ability to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.
Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
Excellent customer service and complaint-resolution skills.
Strong organisational and decision-making ability.
The confidence to take ownership and make commercially sound decisions.
A positive, proactive and solutions-focused leadership style.
Knowledge of manufacturer warranty procedures would be advantageous.
A full UK Driving Licence.
